Dissertation Title

Hungry Gods, Beautiful Kings, and Precious Birds

My work on the History of Design course has involved research into the material culture of eighteenth-century lotteries, meteorological manipulation (weather design), and ancient Hawaiian feather garments. The last of these topics was the subject of my dissertation which looked at the way society can influence or even design the material culture of said society, but also how this same material culture 'designs' the society.
